Under the guidelines of Education Department Punjab Sports and District Education Secondary Education Shiv Pal Goyal, 67 district school sports are being conducted in the first phase.
Today these games were inaugurated by Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Education Iqbal Singh Buttar.
On this occasion, he said that the players are the priceless jewels of our country. He appealed to the players to follow the rules of the game and play with discipline, while wishing the players all the best, he gave a message to move forward with hard work and perseverance.
Giving information about the competitions held today, Jasvir Singh Gill, district sports coordinator said that in wrestling under 14 girls Gagandeep Kaur Sangat Jon won first, Kulwinder Kaur Bhagat won second in 33 kg, Manjot Kaur won first and Navpreet Kaur Mandi Phool won second in 36 kg. Komalpreet Kaur Talwandi Sabo first, Praveen Kaur Bhagat second, Jashandeep Kaur Sangat first in 39 kg, Sukhpreet Kaur Talwandi Sabo second, Jasmin Kaur Bhucho first in 42 kg, Lakhveer Kaur Bhagat second, Gurwinder Kaur Sangat in 58 kg first place, Ibneet Kaur Mandi Phool took second place,
In handball under 17 girls, Bathinda 2 beat Mandi Kalan, Bathinda 1 beat Talwandi Sabo, in under 14 boys, Bathinda 2 beat Talwandi Sabo, in hockey under 14 girls Bhagat beat Talwandi Sabo, Goniana beat Bathinda 1.
