The 67th State Level School Handball Games Under 19 Boys started with Shano Shaukat at Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Bathinda.
These games were inaugurated by District Education Officer Secondary Education Shiv Pal Goyal and presided over by Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Education Iqbal Singh Buttar.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that playing sports gives strength, inspiration and new consciousness. Sports have an important place in our life.
On this occasion, retired lecturer Raghveer Chand Sharma, Director Malwa Physical Education College Bathinda, retired lecturer Paramjit Singh Sekhon specially attended.
Giving information about these competitions, Jasvir Singh Gill, District Sports Coordinator cum Manager, said that in today’s league matches, Bathinda beat Moga by 19-4, Fatehgarh Sahib beat Malerkotla by 29-4, Jalandhar beat Sri Amritsar Sahib by 22-12. Also, Sri Muktsar Sahib defeated Hoshiarpur 22-8, Patiala defeated Gurdaspur 26-2, Sangrur defeated Fazilka 21-17, Mansa defeated Nawanshahr 16-0.
