Mehal Kalan/Barnala, August 21 (Press Correspondent) –
The pull of Punjab’s soil has always drawn its sons back from the glitter and glamour of foreign lands. Even while living among the beautiful streets of Canada, its tall buildings, the waves of Niagara Falls, and the bustling scenes of Toronto, Dr. Mithu Muhammad maintained a deep bond with his homeland. When he stepped back onto the land of Punjab, the emotional welcome given by the doctors of District Barnala further brightened his spirit.
During the welcome ceremony, showers of flowers, the fragrance of bouquets, and the echoes of applause created a historic atmosphere. Everywhere, one could clearly see the glow of happiness and pride related to Dr. Mithu Muhammad.
Prominent leaders present at the event included Dr. Parmeshar Singh Maurya, State Leader; Dr. Keval Krishan Ji, District Senior Meet President; Dr. Mithan Dharmasot, Vice Chairman, District Barnala; Dr. Shivdeep Singh Sadioura, District Meet President Barnala; Dr. Hakim Singh Kaleke, Block President Barnala; Dr. Babu Ram Ji, Block Patron Barnala; Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Block Patron Barnala; Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Block Press Secretary Barnala; Dr. Karamjit Singh Dhanola, Dentist, among others.
All of them unanimously stated that Dr. Mithu Muhammad, State Press Media Incharge of the Medical Practitioners Association Punjab and Central Press Media Incharge of the Medical Practitioners Federation of India, remained in constant touch with the doctors of Punjab even while staying in Canada for 40 days. He not only shared memories but also became the true voice of more than 250,000 rural medical practitioners, thereby winning their trust.
They added that Canada is a country where nature and progress display their beauty together. The lakes of Ontario, the roaring waves of Niagara Falls, the height of the CN Tower, the clean highways, and the punctuality of time make that country unique. Yet, at the same time, the fragrance of Punjab’s soil, the greenery of its fields, the fairs of the villages, the resonance of folk songs, and the melodious hymns of Gurbani can only be experienced on one’s own land. Therefore, the return of Dr. Mithu Muhammad was not merely a welcome, but also a celebration of Punjabi culture.
The doctors gathered on this occasion said that Dr. Mithu Muhammad has not only raised the voice of medical practitioners’ demands but has also kindled a new light of trust in their hearts. His dedication and hard work have made him the true leader of the doctors.
In his concluding words, Dr. Mithu Muhammad thanked everyone, saying: “With every breath of my life, I will continue to be the voice of the medical fraternity and fight for their rights.”
